Bea Rose Santiago was crowned as Miss International 2013.

The coronation night was held on Tuesday, December 17 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

It's a grand-slam victory for the Philippines, Bea Rose Santiago as Miss International , Mutya Johanna Datul as Miss Supranational and Megan Young as Miss World 2013

Mutya ng Pilipinas grand winner Koreen Medina shares her beauty secrets

Mutya ng Pilipinas Beauty Pageant grand winner Koreen Medina bared in a recent interview what stuff she’s made of and shared some of her admirable beliefs, practices, upbringing details, and useful tips, all of which confirm her branding as “The New Generation’s Perfect Role Model.”

This 18-year-old Quezon City beauty, the country’s bet to the Miss Intercontinental Pageant beauty tilt to be held in Egypt in November, bagged several awards as Mutya’s Best in Talent, and was also voted by the pageant’s sponsors as Mutya ng Zen Institute.

This amiable former Mass Communication student of St. Paul University believes in the value of education, which she considers “the most important preparation the youth can have for their future,” despite the fact that her win and her twin talents of singing and acting—not to mention, the prizes she won not only in the pageant but in the previous competitions she earlier joined—may all well be her passport to a comfortable future.

“Values learned at home while growing up serve as a good foundation later on in life—values are very important,” she blurted out. Normally, it’s the parents who teach a child the values he grows up with, but not so with Koreen.

How she cares for herself “I never go to sleep without my simple beauty regimen. I wash with baby soap and I moisturize. I’ve been doing this since as early as high school. For my body, I use lotion.” Koreen doesn’t go for applying a bagful of skin care products. She knows she doesn’t need to do much—just keeping her face clean and moisturized does the trick.

No, she’s not a gym person, but she plays volleyball and basketball—these serving as her off-and-on exercise. She’s open, however, to possibilities that the Zen Institute will recommend for her as regimen. She acknowledges that having a suitable regimen means being able to exercise discipline.

“I heard Zen goes most for the natural, and I like things natural.” Koreen’s statement truly epitomizes the Zen Institute, which has taken on the route towards the natural, guided by the acumen and rich experience of a medical doctor who’s a wellness advocate, Dr. Mary Jane “MJ” Torres. Megan Young, despite her being the clear frontrunner, she was able to grab the much-coveted Miss World Philippines 2013.

The Question: Why do you want to be Miss World Philippines?

#5 Zahra Bianca Saldua: When I was 10 years old, I told myself parents I wanted to become part of the United Nations. Why? Because I want to be an Ambassadress of Goodwill. Even before this competition I have done many charities and I want to continue them whether I win or lose.

#10 Janice Lubina: Because I would be an effective Miss World Philippines because I would like to unite physical beauty, in-depth beauty and charitable heart. I would like to bring message of hope, perseverance and determination to the world. Knowing people can relate to my humble beginnings, that poverty is not a hindrance to reach one's dreams.

Mutya ng Pilipinas has been successful in it's 45th Edition beauty pageant!

The grand coronation night was held July 26, 2013 at the NBC Tent in Bonifacio Global City Taguig and will be telecast on GMA 7 on Sunday 10 AM.

This year's pageant was hosted by Chris Tiu, Pat Fernandez and two lovely former Mutya beautyqueens.

Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 winners gets the crown and will get P1-Million worth of combined cash and gift items, AIM scholarship and will represent the country to international pageants.

Kylan Wenzel, the first transgender Miss USA

Kylan Wenzel, the first transgender person to compete in a Miss California pageant, expressed her excitement on Anderson Live.

The 26-year-old Wenzel discussed being Miss USA's first transgender contestant after the pageant changed its rules. 

Kylan Arianna Wenzel was born on October 14, 1986 in Daegu, South Korea. She was born to a German-American father, and a South Korean mother. She has a twin brother, and was primarily raised by her father and step-mother.

At the age of 2, her family was stationed at Clark Air Base, on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. In June of 1991 the air force base was evacuated when the volcano, Mount Pinatubo erupted. She arrived in the United States for the very first time that summer.

Being in a military family she has lived in many states and countries. Upon graduating high school, she accepted admission to the University of Washington in Seattle despite her heart being set on an education in London.

In 2009 she moved to California to pursue a career in entertainment.
She had her life changing surgery in August of 2012. She competed in the Miss California USA 2013 pageant in January 2013 as the first transgender woman in the United States to compete for a state title. She did not make the final Top 20. She is honored to have been a pioneer in an industry she describes as being a "cookie cutter".

Kylan has appeared on Anderson Cooper Live and The Ricki Lake Show. She hopes to make many more TV appearances and eventually a career in television. She is continuing her education with intentions to transfer to the University of California in Los Angeles.

Mister International Philippines

Gil Wagas is Mister International Philippines. The pageant was held on June 21 at the Fil-Oil Flying V Arena in San Juan City, Metro Manila.

The 21-year-old former UE Red Warriors and model

He came from Lapu Lapu City, Cebu and bested a total of 23 contestants in the biggest male pageant in the country today.

Gil stands at 6 foot 3 and has a wide body, he was also one of the favorite contestant who joined the competition.

Gil Wagas will represent the Philippines in the upcoming Mister International 2013 world finals to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Top 3 winners are Wilfredo Placencia, Jr. from Dumaguete was adjudged as first runner-up while Jeffrey Sanchez from Bacolod ranked at second runner-up.

The Mister International Philippines pageant was hosted by Miss Earth Air 2012 Stephany Stefanowitz and radio celebrity Chico Garcia.

Attended by Mister Singapore 2012 Ron Teh, Mister International owner Alan Sim and reigning Mister International 2012 Ali Hammoud from Lebanon.
